Meet Clayton PaddisonHello All,
I have been in the antique car hobby since I was born (the doctors thought it quite amazing that I asked “What car does this family drive” within 30 seconds of leaving the womb. My grandfather, Thor Sanden, was one of the many early hot rodders in the Portland area in the late 1940’s and early 50’s and had quite a plethora of great cars. I have many great memories of cruise-ins, roadster shows and concourses with and my father and it is to him that my newly running Model T roadster is dedicated.
In high school, I was fortunate to be put in charge of repair and maintenance of the 2 Model T Fords that were donated to the school because Model T’s have fascinated me since I first laid eyes on one when I was 5 and nobody else knew anything about them. I spent the rest of my junior and senior year in my auto major on this special project. I also purchased my first car that same year, my other favorite since I had been old enough to crawl, a 1965 Ford Falcon. Many great adventures would be had in this car.
After high school I took the restoration class from Bill Becker and soon became friends with Bill and His son Chris. They invited me to come out to the shop, that was five years ago………and they haven’t got me to leave yet.
But seriously folks…..
I am very honored to have been “Indoctrinated” into the Becker clan, who have all become very dear friends to me and put in just as many hours into my car as I have. I am also honored to be a presenter for Bill’s restoration class.
Congratulations and welcome to the community and the forum.

Clayton you are awesome and welcome to the team.We have enjoyed getting to know you and letting Carston call you Uncle Clayton. We may not share any blood but you are like a brother to us. Your knowledge of automobiles is much like Chris'. I hope Carston takes after you both and perhaps along the way I will learn something too. Thanks for all your help with the pedal cars and Carston.
