Nice Show!
The weather was great, sunny most of the day until departure as we visited the Lake Oswego Heritage Car and Wooden Boat Show this last Sunday.
I believe it was maxed out with 250 fantastic cars and their owners in attendance. We took our 1934 Rolls Royce, Chris & Melissa took the 1919 Model T Touring and Clayton took his Model T Speedster. We saw so many beautiful cars and some old friends to boot. Some of alumni were there like Pat Kennedy, Gary Oswall, Gary Martin, many others, the names of whom escape me at present.
Some beautiful crystal awards and placques were given, three HUGE baskets were raffled off, breakfast and lunch were served, all making a very nice Sunday event.
But, boy oh boy did drivers scatter when the raindrops threatened at the departure time of the event at 3pm. I don't know about others, but Carston got raindrops on his little face on the way home while riding in the T with the top down. We on the otherhand enjoyed having a roof over our heads.
We look forward to this event next year. For those of you who have procrastinated this year, wait till next year and preregister. The show is limited to 250 cars on the baseball field.
There are still tours left. Get out and enjoy your rides!
