It all started with the desire to have a more fuel efficient diesel truck, it had to have four doors, and still be able to pull a boat up over the pass, but, it had to get closer to 30mpg than 20.
One day I tripped over a Dodge Power Wagon Crew-cab for sale. Except the crew-cab was made all wrong, from my point of view. It used stock front doors for the back doors, basically, two cabs welded together. The doors just looked funny. I thought the back doors should be mirrored.
I found a line art picture of a single cab Power Wagon truck and put in into MS Paint. Then I mirrored the back doors. Magical crew-cab appears. I sent that picture to the guy who made that crewcab (Matt Tisdale).
About six months later, Matt emails a picture of the crew-cab truck he had made with mirrored back doors. Wow! One thing lead to another and I had a new Turbo 4 cylinder Cummins diesel on its way, and a NV4500 tranny, and new front and rear axles, Cadillac heated leather seats, etc...etc...
What you see here is my first vision of what my project truck ought to look like. That was two years ago. The project is well underway now.
No way would I have attempted this project without the help of Bill's expertise and his restoration shop with all his resources at my disposal!
